Very appropriate for this ride to start from a place called Dog Beach. It is a dog park where the dogs run free. Love it. In the morning we start the real riding, today was just picture time for the ceremonial dipping of the wheels in the Pacific. At the end of the ride awaits St Augustine and like Ponce de Leon's dream of the fountain of youth that was supposed to be in St Augustine, I will initiate my own quest towards a symbolic fountain of youth in the morning. Actually I am willing to bargain, I don't need a fountain of youth, a thimble or whatever it takes to get me out of SD, then just to make it thru NM, across 1,000 miles of Texas, then MS, AL and to Fl. Just get me to Gainesville, and I can handle it from there. Of course, Gainesville is the next to last night and I have a buddy near there. Dusty, have that truck ready!
